SciFinder Scholar includes Chemical Abstracts (CAPlus) and several complementary databases. Both web and client versions are available for both on and off-campus use. For set up instructions and links to documentation about SFS, see the link under "All Users" below. You can use SciFinder Scholar for, among other things, literature searches, structure and reaction searching, substance information searching, property searching, and identifying citing and cited articles. SFS also provides access to the MEDLINE database of the National Library of Medicine, though the latter is also available in other versions (see the database finder alphabetical listing).
Please be courteous to other users when using SFS; we have a limited number of seats.
Persons who only need to do a quick lookup of the chemistry literature and who do not need the full coverage of SciFinder Scholar may want to use Chemical Abstracts Student Edition, available within this database finder.
